Blog

This is just a prompt, this is only a prompt. You don't have to use this if you're not interested in it. I've posted this to hedge the possibility that you might assert that you don't know what to write about.

Write about your favorite type of book. What is it about that type of book that appeals to you?

  1. I enjoy reading a variety of different types of books. I picked up reading when I was pregnant and started with James Patterson's Alex Cross novels. I really enjoy reading the whole suspense murder mystery sort of thing. Being inside the criminals mind is really interesting. I can't help but wonder if that is what really goes on inside of their heads. I am also a romance novel fan. I enjoy being able to feel what the characters are feeling the high energy of love and compassion. TWILIGHT FAN. Besides the Twilight series my favorite book has benn ...And then you die by Iris Johanson. It is romance/ mystery which makes it awesome.

  2. I completely agree with your choice of romance. I love romance novels. They pull me in and I feel like I understand the characters mind set about how they feel about the other person. Twilight was amazing. It is definitely my favorite series of books ever. I was so attracted to the forbidden way she talk about loving Edward. This is also the reason that I love the book Perfect Chemistry. I was iffy about the book before I started because I hate science. Turns out it’s definitely not about science. It too is another forbidden love story that draws you into the character's mind set. I would recommend it to you if you like romance.

  3. I am very easy going about the types of books I read, but if I have to pick a favorite it would be suspense and murder mystery, thriller type books. I love Dean Koontz and have read over twenty of his books. I love how they draw you in and don't let you go. I always feel like if I put the book down then I'm going to miss something. And being a criminology major I too enjoy getting to see into the killers mind. Like I mentioned though I love to read and will read just about anything you put in front of me, but I am the type of person that has to finish the book as soon as possible. I don't like reading one book over a long period of time and I guess thats why I like the suspense and thriller novels more because they keep you engaged.

  4. I am interested in survivalist and non-fiction books. I just recently finished reading Emergency by Neil Strauss. In the book the author shows that as a child he was hardly the survivalist type. His family lived on the forty-second floor of a seventy-two-story building in Chicago. They didn't camp, hunt, farm, cook, or even fix thing themselves. The author begins to realize through events such as: Y2K, attack on the World Trade Center, and Anthrax attacks that followed; he might benefit from a common knowledge on surviving life as we know it. Most of the public today wouldn't survive without their iPhones, computers, televisions, ect; much less food, water, and shelter. Through his quest the author gives very descriptive details on how to survive many instances should or, as the author says, (WSHTF) "When Shit Hits The Fan!" This book was very interesting. These are the types of books that intrigue me.

  5. I read a variety of books, the Harry Potter series was great, and unlike most guys I actually thought the Twilight series was great. I also like books like the "DaVinci Code" and "Angels and Demons" by Dan Brown. The reason the Harry Potter and Twilight series are so good is because both authors really draw you into the story so that you feel like you really are the character. They also write in a way that makes you feel like you really are in a castle with a bunch of other wizards, or in a rain soaked forest with a gang of werewolves. Dan Brown does a similar style of writing, but his books contain real people doing extraordinary things rather than mythical beings. They also are set in places most people are familiar with and contain facts most people might not know. He also keeps his chapters short so the action never seems to stop and he also writes from multiple points of view so you always know what everyone is thinking. So I guess I pretty much like any book that can keep me interested throughout the entire storty.
